Leader(s): --King Snorri Valdrang XV: A young man of 24, King Snorri is eager to industrialize his nation and bring his people, kicking and screaming if need be, into the modern era.
--Jarl Henk Henkson XXXVII: The leader of the Hendvard traditionalists. He is a stout man in his 50's and shows the rigors of a life at sea, both as a whaler and a reaver. He often opposes any attempts at modernization and firmly believes that returning to the old ways will return Hendvar to it's former positions of power.

Military: --ARMY: Originally raiders the troops of Hendvar are better suited to hit and run tactics than the pitched battles common to modern warfare. The commanders are often young nobles looking for Glory and loot when the situation allows. The men of the Hardvard army were dark crimson uniforms.
--NAVY: The oldest Traditions of the Hendvard are strongest felt in the royal navy. While the crown owns the majority of the warships anyone with sufficient means may have a ship built and be givin a naval commission. The man still owns the ship he paid for and may pass it to his heirs though his rank does not transfer.
History: Early History: The Kingdom of Hendvar was known mostly for the warriors that would raid coastal settlement in the mid to late medieval era. After the invention of firearms the kingdom took up an isolationist policy to protect itself from outside influence and fell into obscurity only coming back to international attention in the last fifty years.
Resent Events 1872: Ships from Hendvar are seen for the first time in four hundred years off the mainland of Osterland. Industrialization is introduced to the Hedvard.
1891: Hendvar supports Republic of Jouran in the Second Kylo-Jouranan War. Raids on Kylvanian shipping rise. King Godfri Valdrang II is given several experts from Jouran to help facilitate the process of modernizing Hendvar.
1894: The first factory in Hendvar built in Breggistolim. Shortly after there is rise in popularity of the traditionalist movement amongst the nobles.
1915: King Snorri XV takes the throne. Major reforms are prepared for Hendvar.
1920: The first modern warships of Hendvar's new navy are completed as well the personal warship of Jarl Henk Henkson XXXVII, leader of the traditionalist movement.
